About the Foundation
The Bay Alumni Foundation is your alumni information and resource home. Our purpose is simple:
- To inform our alumni through the publication of the newsletter, The Shoreline.
- The Shoreline is published three times per year (Fall/Winter, Spring, and Summer), and is sent to all Bay High Alumni.
- To provide assistance for classes with their events, activities, reunions, etc.
- Each class has a representative which acts as a liaison with the BAF. These class reps have access to their fellow members through our computer's data bank, which provides addresses, phone numbers, e-mails, etc. The BAF can also serve as a resource for planning reunions, as we have a booklet containing information on hall/banquet facilities, food catering groups and music/entertainment.
- To select, recognize and homor distinguished Bay High alumni and educators.
- Every other year, it is the BAF's privilege to vote from a list of nominated alumni for the Distinguised Alumni Award, and to select a former teacher/administrator for the Educator of the Year Award. The recipients of the awards are recognized and honored during Homecoming Weekend in the fall by being presented to the student body and faculty of Bay High at the King & Queen Ceremony. They are later presented to the community at a Homecoming parade before the annual Homecoming football game. The award winners are then formally recognized and honored at a brunch or reception.
