Bay Alumni Foundation Fundraising Drive!

Did you know that only approximately 10% of Bay graduates make a financial donation to the Bay Alumni Foundation? 

We need your help!! 

BAF is asking all Bay alumni to “DONATE YOUR GRADUATION YEAR–plus $1.00!”  Some of you might be saying, “Huh???”  This means we are asking everyone to donate the dollar amount of what the 4 digits were of your graduation year, and then throw in another dollar!

Examples:

If you graduated in 1943, donate $19.43 plus $1.00 = $20.43

If you graduated in 1975, donate $19.75 plus $1.00 = $20.75

If you graduated in 2005, donate $20.05 plus $1.00 = $21.05

BAF is structured as a non-profit organization, therefore, we are not permitted to charge “dues” to all of you Bay graduates.  We totally rely on your financial donations and the couple of fundraising activities we do throughout the year.

Bay Alumni Foundation Planned Giving

Planned gifts are a crucial source of future funding that enables Bay Alumni Foundation to continue doing what we do best:  keeping you connected to your roots.  To include Bay Alumni Foundation as part of your planned giving wishes shows your support, your dedication, and your desire to help keep our traditions alive for generations to come.

U.S. tax laws are structured to encourage charitable giving, and unlimited amounts can generally be left for charitable purposes free of estate and gift taxes.  We strongly suggest that you consult with your attorney or other independent professional advisor to ensure that your plans are in compliance with all applicable laws. 

To name Bay Alumni Foundation in your will and request that a specific dollar amount be donated to BAF, all you generally need is the following information:

“I give, devise, and bequeath to Bay Village Public Schools Alumni Foundation, federal tax identification number 34-1963049, with the permanent address of 377 Dover Center Road, Bay Village, Ohio 44140, the sum of $________.”

Our Bay

Unlimited are the times we have watched the seasons sing their way from September to June in this stanza to the bay from our classrooms.  The boats for pleasure and the barges for business have come into view and then have gone on into that challenging medley beyond the horizon.  As the waters of our inland bay become a part of the lake and ultimately a part of the ocean, so do the graduates of Bay High School reach far beyond the present landscape, becoming citizens of the world.
